Darkness to Light CEO and President, Anne Lee, made a live appearance on CNN Sunday, June 19th at 5:30pm EST. Interviewer Fredericka Whitfield spoke with Lee concerning the recent arrest of Dean Arthur Schwartzmiller, a serial child molester suspected of abusing over 36,000 boys. During the interview, Lee emphasized that parents must talk to children at an early age and continuously about what is and is not appropriate. Lee stated that the media provides ample opportunity for parents to discuss the subject and highlighted Darkness to Light’s child sexual abuse prevention tools and resources for adults including 7 Steps to Protecting our Children, Stewards of Children and the Darkness to Light website.
