Mayor Declares "Stop Child Sexual Abuse Day"
Charleston Mayor Joseph P. Riley, Jr. declared April 25, 2005 "Stop Child Sexual Abuse Day". The Charleston RiverDogs, a farm team for the NY Yankees, invited Darkness to Light to be their "charity du jour" at their game that night. Darkness to Light able to get our materials out to hundreds of fans attending the game and Mayor Riley's proclamation was read to the fans just before the first pitch was thrown by Darkness to Light's own Angie the Ant.
